We own and manage over 130 residential and commercial units across Ohio and Kentucky. Over the years, we've hired roofing contractors the way most property owners do — through referrals, Google searches, and a lot of hope.

We've been burned by contractors who quoted one price and invoiced another. Crews who showed up for day one and disappeared for a week. Materials that failed within two years. Project managers who stopped returning calls the moment our check cleared.

We got tired of it. So we built Heartland.

Mohit Chopra

Co-Founder & Managing Partner

Mohit leads operations, marketing, and client strategy at Heartland. His background is in real estate investment and portfolio management — he currently owns and operates 130+ residential and commercial units across Ohio and Kentucky.

His investor perspective shapes how Heartland operates: every decision is made with the owner's interest in mind, not just the immediate job. He built Heartland to be the contractor he always wanted but couldn't find — one that treats every project like an investment worth protecting.

Mohit owns majority of his multifamily portfolio in Ohio.

Raj Sundararaman

Co-Founder & Construction Director

Raj brings over a decade of hands-on construction experience through Lotus Construction, where he built deep expertise in residential and commercial exterior work. He leads all field operations at Heartland — crew management, subcontractor relationships, material sourcing, and quality control.

When Raj signs off on a project, it's done right — or it gets done again. He holds every crew member to the same standards he'd apply to work on his own property.

Raj is based in Hilliard, OH.
